2026 Scholarship Recipients

Jewelianah Bell
Jewelianah Bell is a distinguished member of the Pueblo County High School Class of 2026, and honored recipient of the Alumni Scholarship valued at $3000. She is recognized for exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and service to her school and community. Graduating with a 4.17 weighted GPA, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to both academics and service, contributing more than 400 volunteer hours across UCHealth Parkview, USW Local 2102, JROTC and other major community events. Her leadership is reflected through four years in JROTC, where she served as head project manager and Executive Officer. As well as three years in HOSA where she served as Vice President and President, ultimately finding her passion for healthcare. She is also a fouryear letter winner in both gymnastics and dive team, showcasing her dedication, discipline, and athletic achievement.
Jewelianah is also a CSU-Pueblo Discovery Scholar, where she gained hands-on research experience in microbiology studying Cajal Nuclear Bodies. She became one of the first high school students to present research at three CSU-Pueblo research conventions and earned second place in the 2026 Spring Research Symposium. Through concurrent enrollment at Colorado State University Pueblo, she has completed 55 college credit hours. Jewelianah will attend Colorado State University Pueblo in the fall and plans to major in Nursing. After that she wants to attend medical school to be an Orthopedic Surgeon.

Sylvia Vigil
Sylvia Vigil, an outstanding student and musician, is the recipient of the Alumni Scholarship worth $2,000. She will graduate with a 4.33 GPA. Sylvia played in the Marching Band, Jazz Band and Orchestra, the flute, piccolo, alto and soprano sax, clarinet and violin. She lettered all four years in Academics as well as lettering in Band, Jazz and Orchestra. Sylvia was a part of the Arts Academy and received her Stoll in TAA. She also had accumulated other accolades including:
• Colorado State 3A Band Champion 2026
• Community involvement- Children’s Church Volunteer 2018-2026
• Sarah Shaw Dance Competition Team 2018-2026
• Leadership- Flute Section Leader 2024-2026
• Inducted into The National Honors Society
• Awarded Pueblo County Band Director’s Award 2026
Sylvia’s next steps will be to attend UNC Greeley for the Monfort School of Business where she will pursue a degree in Marketing.

Landri Lisac
"Thank you to the PCHS Alumni committee for believing in me and selecting me for this scholarship. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and the support from the foundation. This scholarship will help me continue my education at Auburn University while pursuing my passion as a member of the Auburn Equestrian Team. I truly appreciate this investment in my future and could not have done it without this amazing opportunity. Thank you again for your generosity and support! County has given me the best 4 years of high school! The memories made and friendships gained were the highlight of my high school career! County will forever hold a special place in my heart!"

Selanis Nava
Selanis Nava, is a recipient of the alumni scholarship with $1500. She will be graduating with the class of 26, holding a 3.95 weighted GPA. Selanis had volunteered to be apart of the girls’s cabinet, which has given her experience to become a leader and role model for younger students. She has participated in many community service events, which has instilled the important of helping others. She is planning to attend Colorado Mesa University to pursue a degree in accounting.
